The Ugar Sugar Works Ltd., has embarked on a major expansion plan, which includes 2 greenfield sugar plants (with cogeneration & distillery). This will increase Ugar Sugar Works crushing capacity to 23,000 tcd in the season 2008-09 and to 30,000 tcd in the season 2010-11. Additionally, we have been involved in a unique one of its kind project of manufacturing sugar cubes in the form of ships. Our group has also diversified into the business of packaging through our new company – Ugar Quality Packaging , located at Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.
